A Few Pictures Regarding Karen's Second Letter

Banana splits in Russia?  This is Shura, our YSA leader. (She just moved to Moscow)

This young violinist performed at youth conference.  He was OUTSTANDING!  This is a picture of him when he came off the stage down onto the floor while the kids were dancing.

Alina and Karen.  Alina is one of the young girls from Kazakhstan who was baptized at the conference.

As Karen said, pigeons are respected and almost revered here in Russia.  So they become very unafraid of humans.

First day of school!  This was taken near our apartment.  They have a tradition over here that every year on September 1st they celebrate going back to school.  The boys dress up in their sunday finest and the girls also dress up and put these beautiful white bows in their hair.  They are always a white delicate fabric.  Then when school actually starts (this year it was 2 days later because of the weekend) they wear those same ribbons to school.

  4. What a beautiful park and what a powerful story about the baptisms. That would never happen in San Diego.
